Learning

Company knowledge
Definition

A learning is a lesson worth keeping, captured from the work so the company can review it and decide whether it should become official context.

captured learning

A learning is a lesson the company may want to remember.

It might be a supplier timing change, a customer preference, a recurring correction to an AI draft, or a rule someone had been applying from memory. The point is to capture the lesson while it is fresh instead of letting it disappear into the day.

Learnings are not automatically official. They enter a review path. The company can then approve, reject, or promote them into durable context.

Why the Distinction Matters

If every observation became official immediately, the system would become noisy. If every observation required a formal rewrite, people would stop capturing.

Learnings give the company a middle state: easy to capture, visible to the people who need them, and careful before they become authoritative.
